Trinidad & Tobago Under-19’s powered to a 167 run win against ICC Americas at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex (EGSC), Molineau, St Kitts on Friday. Jeremy Solonzano lead the way for T&T with 139 not out, then pulled off two run outs in the early stages of the ICC Americas innings.
T&T won the toss and elected to bat. Kalawan was the first to be dismissed after making 11, but Brandon Ramdial and Solonano helped give the innings a sound base before Ramdial was out for 47. Camillo Carimbocas hit 20 in the later stages as T&T’s innings closed on 269-5 after 50 overs with Jeremy Solonzano 139 not out.
ICC Americas were 43-3 after 17 overs with Solonzano involved in two run outs, according to the periodic scoring updates on the WICB website. Bermuda’s Tre Manders was the top scorer for the Americas, making 23 in a total of 102 all out (37.4 overs). Bryan Charles took two wickets for 17 in his ten overs, Justin Joseph had two for 16 from seven overs and Jesse Bootan picked up three for 22 from 5.4 overs.

Barbados pulled off a first win of the tournament, making 138-6 (47.3 overs) to beat the Leeward Islands by four wickets. Barbados had bowled out the Leeward Islands for 137 after 46.4 overs.
Unbeaten Jamaica hit 234-6 in 50 overs then bowled Guyana out for 154 in 48 overs, with Shimron Hetmyer scoring 46. In Jamaica’s innings Tristan Colemon made 96 not out, Fabian Allen 47 and Brandon King 36 for Jamaica.

With two rounds of matches to be played, Jamaica leads the standings with four wins from four games. Trinidad & Tobago has four wins and one loss while Guyana has three wins and two losses.
ICC Americas has won one game, lost twice and tied once.

ICC Americas play Barbados on Sunday (August 18) and conclude with a tough game against current leaders Jamaica on Tuesday (August 20). Depending on the outcome in Sunday’s round of matches, Jamaica may be looking to seal the WICB Regional Under-19 50-over championship on Tuesday. Jamaica is due to face the Leeward Islands on Sunday.
