Centurions crowned new Elite champions

Long-time follower and supporter of the Canadian cricket scene, Ron Fanfair, reports in the current issue of “Share” newspaper that the Toronto and District Cricket Association’s Elite Division Final was reduced to 40 overs per side due to a wet ground that caused a delayed start. Centurions scored 150 for nine wickets in 40 overs. Danuka Pathirana top-scored with 58 while Hiral Patel captured four wickets for 19 runs. Brampton Masters Tranzac was bowled out for 130 from 35.5 overs, giving Centurions a win by 20 runs.
