The ICC Americas game against Jamaica U19’s at the Everest Cricket Club in Guyana was reduced to 24 overs per side as a result of rain and a wet outfield. Jamaica won the toss and decided to field. ICC Americas was bowled out for 123 from 23.4 overs. Canada’s Armaan Kapoor top-scored with 33, Abraash Khan made 15, Rawlings 14 and Dore 13.
Jamaican openers Lugg and McCatty began well. Lugg made 23 before being caught by Bascombe (Bermuda) off the spin of Farhan Malik (Canada). McCatty went on to make 33, but an innings of 49 not out from Parchman carried Jamaica to a winning 126/3 after 22 overs. The ICC Americas feed said the Americas side would need to bowl and field well to defend the total of 123.
The game between the Windward Islands and the Leeward Islands was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Trinidad and Tobago scored 163/9 but Guyana recorded a third win in this tournament when reaching 164/5.
