Rain beats Barbados and ICC Americas

The rains came down on Demerara Cricket Club in Guyana on Sunday, Barbados U19 won the toss, ICC Americas batted for a while, the rains came down, the players and umpires waited for a few hours but the umpires had to decide the rain had won the day by 3.25pm local time. Opener Aniket Joshi (Canada) scored 13, Abraash Khan (Canada) had the makings of an innings with 23 runs before being bowled by off-spinner Neil Persaud. Neil Persaud took 1/13 from 7.3 overs, and T. Shorey took 1/11 from 6 overs. Persaud was almost expensive against ICC Americas compared with his 3/11 from 10 overs on Saturday against the Leeward Islands.
ICC Americas schedule concludes with a game against the Leeward Islands on Tuesday (Aug 12). The round-robin phase ends on Wednesday (Aug 13) and the top two in the round robin standings will meet in Friday’s final (Aug 15).
