TDCA Elite Regular Season wraps up this weekend

The regular season of the Elite Division of the Toronto and District Cricket Association is due to wrap-up this weekend. Four games are scheduled for Saturday (Sept 6) and two are set for Sunday (Sept 7). Saturday’s schedule has Synergy Conference leaders Limers Lords (P 14, W10, Pts 63) visiting the Iceland ground of Mississauga Ramblers (P 14, W 9, Pts 57), who are currently second in the Platypus Conference.
Note: Friday night thunderstorms and more rain on Saturday has caused all games due to be played at Maple Leaf CC on Saturday (Sept 6, 2014) to be called off, as stated on TDCA website.
Platypus Conference leaders Centurions (P 15, W 9, Pts 67) are due to wrap up the regular season on Sunday at Maple Leaf CC against Mississauga Ramblers. With six points for a win, the Ramblers could overtake Centurions to head the Platypus standings with wins in these closing games against the two conference leaders.

Brampton Masters Tranzac (P 13, W 8, Pts 54) sit in second place in the current Synergy Conference standings. Masters regular season schedule concludes on Sunday at Maple Leaf CC against Ghaznavi Headstart (P 12, W 1, Pts 12).

Ghaznavi Headstart are due to meet Vikings (P15, W 5, Pts 33) on Saturday at the Maple Leaf grounds in King City. Islanders (P15 W8, Pts 51), currently third in the Platypus Conference, faces Civics (P 14, W 3, Pts 27) at Maple Leaf on Saturday. Saturday’s Elite Division games at Maple Leaf CC also involve Ontario Cricket Academy & Club (P 15, W 6, Pts 36) against Yorkshire (P 15, W 6, Pts 39). Ontario CA&C is presently shown as third in the Synergy Conference, Yorkshire is fifth in the Platypus Conference.

Two Elite Division clubs are not show as playing this weeekend: Toronto CC (P 15, W 5, Pts 43) sit fourth in the Platypus Conference, and Victoria Park (P 15, W 5, Pts 30) of the Synergy Conference.

News of the TDCA Elite Division playoff match-ups will emerge in due course.

Maple Leaf CC is due to host the semi-finals of the Canadian Corporate Cricket League’s championships on Saturday morning. The Toronto Dominion Bank team is due to play the RBC team (Royal Bank of Canada) in one semi-final while the Scotia team (Scotiabank) is due to face a Deloitte team in the other semi-final. The final is due to follow on Sunday morning at Maple Leaf CC. These Canadian Corporate Cricket games are shown as 7.45am starts. (EN)
