RBC Lions and Scotia advance to Canadian Corporate Final

Jassy Dhillon hit 99* from 55 balls to bing RBC Lions a win with three balls to spare against the TD bank team in a Saturday morning Canadian Corporate League semi-final at Maple Leaf CC. The Scotia team beat Deloitte by 28 runs in the other semi-final.

Thusitha Kalansuriyage hit 55 from 35 balls as TD recovered to 174/6 (20 ov) after losing early wickets. Saurabh Malhotra made 44 to start the TD recovery. Jassy Dhillon responded with 99* from 55 balls as RBC Lions reached a winning 179/4 from 19.3 overs.

Scotia made 139/7 from 20 overs on the north-west pitch then limited Deloitte to 119/9 (20 overs). Atul Prabhakar top-scored for Scotia with 60. Samarth Narula made 44 for Deloitte.

The Final of the 2014 Canadian Corporate League cricket championship is due to be played today, (Sunday September 21, 2014) at Maple Leaf CC with a 7.45am start. Those involved in this final will be hoping it did not rain overmight at the ground and that rain stays away this morning. (EN)
