Rain washes out TDCA Playoffs

The predicted overnight rain, including some heavy storms, hit the Greater Toronto Area on Sunday (September 21, 2014, so the scheduled Toronto and District Cricket Association (TDCA) playoffs were washed out. Sunday’s scheduled Elite Division second semi-final between Limers Lords and Brampton Masters Tranzac becomes re-scheduled for this coming Saturday (September 27) at Maple Leaf CC. The winning team would, presumably, advance to the TDCA Final against Centurions next Sunday (September 28).

The semi-finals for the TDCA Premier and First Divisions will similarly be re-assigned to next Saturday with the Finals to follow on Sunday, based on the scheduling principles advised on the TDCA website.

The Final of the Canadian Corporate League was similarly washed out on Sunday and will, presumably, be rescheduled for next Saturday morning at Maple Leaf CC.

Bowled for 97

Bowled for 97

Footnote: There seems to be a need for a scoring correction to the original summary for last Saturday’s Centurions-Limers Lords Elite Division semi-final posted on Canada Cricket Online. A photo suggests Dhanika Pathirana was bowled off the last ball of Centurions innings. So, presumably, he was out for 97. Centurions total would become 281/5 rather than 281/4.
