Building on the success of its ICC award winning CIMA Mayor’s School cricket, CIMA Canada is pleased to announce yet another youth cricket initiative. A pilot project for CIMA University Cricket will be launched at the Sunnybrook Park on Saturday June 13th, 2015.

In 2011 CIMA launched GTA’s pioneering school cricket tournament with a pilot project inviting 10 Toronto schools. The program has extended to school boards from Hamilton to Durham attracting over 100 teams for the 2015 tournament.
CIMA has adopted a similar approach for Universities and invited cricket teams from Ryerson, York, UTM, Oshawa and Queen’s to take part in the inaugural CIMA University Cricket.
As in all other CIMA programs the CIMA University cricket is free of charge to participating teams. CIMA expects to build on it in the years ahead, giving more opportunities for young cricketers and a much needed boost for cricket in Universities.
