A new outdoor cricket league for women is set to kick-off on June 13. At least four teams will compete in the Scarborough Cricket Association tournament to be played at Ashtonbee ground in Scarborough. Teams that have committed so far are Kaisoca, Superstars and a Scarborough schools side. “A few more teams have shown an interest and we might include an Under-13 and 16 boys’ teams,” said organizer, George Maharaja. “One of the things we are happy about is that we are able to secure a facility with adequate washrooms and change facilities for the females. That was crucial for us to move forward with this initiative.”
