From Cricket Canada’s Facebook page:-
Cricket Canada wishes to invite the support and participation of accomplished cricket supporters to nominate players for the selection of Senior High Performance Squad. Our goal is to find committed and accomplished talent, who want to participate in the national team to improve Cricket Canada’s performance in domestic as well as international level.
Cricket Canada is taking steps towards investing in committed cricket talent by spending its high performance activities such as training by accomplished coaches, visits to HP academies and raising the level of domestic competitions by inviting foreign talent to play in domestic tournaments as well as by organising higher level tournaments.
We are looking for new players that are not known to us at this time and have never been part of past HP selections. Current and former players of the Cricket Canada Senior Men’s National team, Level II Coaches and Level III Umpires and the provincial cricket bodies are encouraged to nominate players for the selection camp to be held in the near future. Please ensure that you have player consent prior to nominating.
Cricket Canada is pleased to announce that for every successful nomination made by an individual, where the nominee is selected into the HP squad, Cricket Canada will provide $500.00 to the nominator for the introduction. Please note that the award is for the nominations of players that have not been part of the Cricket Canada HP player pool in the past. Players that don’t have access to any of the above should contact their league and/or provincial organisation for recommendation.
