Canada’s Under-17 team plays in US

Canada’s Under-17 team flies to Houston, Texas on Wednesday (July 13, 2016) to play in a three team ICC match play tournament that is the first step on the road to the next ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The tournament, at Moosa Stadium, is being played as a double round-robin involving Bermuda, Canada and the USA. Canada and the USA will contest Thursday’s opening game (July 14) then Canada plays Bermuda on Friday (July 15). The first round-robin phase is completed on Saturday when USA plays Bermuda (July 16). Canada and USA then go head-to-head on Sunday (July 17) and Canada’s games end on Monday (July 18) against Bermuda. The tournament ends with the second meeting of USA and Bermuda on Tuesday (July 19).
Canada’s squad was named at the conclusion of the 2016 Under-17 Canada Cup that ended on Friday July 8, 2016. The names of the selected players may not be obvious to all from the a video of the original announcement, so here is a confirmed list of players and officials from Cricket Canada.
