Squads named for Canada Tour

The Bermuda squad that is to visit Canada and play four 50-over games as part of Bermuda’s preparations for the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Division 4 was announced at a media conference on Tuesday (August 30, 2016). Probably, from a Bermudian perspective, the announcement of the 21 players who are under consideration for WCL Division 4 was the more significant aspect of the media conference, but it was recognized that playing some games in Canada should help the Bermudian players preparations for for the WCL.
Injuries to various players were mentioned that have an impact on player availability for WCL Division 4 during the course of the media conference. The media conference can be seen via the IslandStats website.
Bermuda’s squad will travel to Canada on September 1, 2016. Ihey will play two matches against a Canada HP XI on September 2nd and 3rd at Maple Leaf Cricket Club, King City. They will play TDCA Super Elite finalist Mississauga Ramblers on Tuesday September 7 at Iceland, Mississauga. The final match will be against a Canada Select on Wednesday September 8 at King City.

Players: Terryn Fray (captain), Dion Stovell, Greg Maybury, Kamau Leverock, Okera Bascombe, Joshua Gilbert, Jordan DeSilva, Dennico Holis, Jordan Smith, Micah Simmons, Brian Hall, Zeko Burgess and Cejay Outerbridge.
Coaching and Support: Clay Smith (National Coach), Gershen Gibbons (Chair, High Performance Program), Danielle Gibbons (Physiotherapist), Lorenzo Tucker (Assistant Coach/Match Analyst), Reginald Tucker (Assistant Coach).
