Agincourt Collegiate Institute (CI) won both the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) boys and girls indoor cricket championships for 2018-2019. There are no scoring details on the TDSB athletic association website for any games that may have resulted in Agincourt becoming eastern champions, but scores have been recorded for games played in the West Region round-robin and playoff phases.
In the Boys senior final, Martingrove CI, the West Region champs, scored 41 from 8.2 overs, a total that Agincourt passed after 6.1 of a possible 10 overs. Agincourt scored 45 in the girls varsity final to beat West Humber CI, who scored 40.
TDSB outdoor cricket for boys and girls teams is due to begin on May 13 and May 14, respectively with games at G. Ross Lord Park and Eglinton Flats. I first saw Namibia playing international cricket at Eglinton Flats during the 2001 ICC Trophy; a tournament where Canada placed third to qualify for the 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup.
