Persistent heavy rain this past weekend resulted in day 1 of the Cricket Council of Ontario’s (CCO’s) Under-16 championship having no play today (Monday June 29, 2015) at G. Ross Lord Park, Toronto, Ontario. Four teams known as East, West, North and South are due to contest this championship.
There will be no play today (Tuesday June 30, 2015) in the Cricket Council of Ontario’s Under-16 Championship at G. Ross Lord Park. A revised schedule has now been published that sees play commence on Thursday July 2. Games continue on Friday July 3 then resume on Monday July 6 and Tuesday July 7 with the Final now scheduled for Wednesday July 8.

Round-robin action was originally scheduled for June 29, June 30 (Tuesday) and July 2 (Thursday) with playoff games on July 3 (Friday) and the final on July 6 (next Monday). The CCO’s facebook page indicates ICICI Bank is providing sponsorship support for this event.
The CCO Under-16 team for a national Under-16 tournament, due to be played in early August 2015, is to be selected based on performances in this current Ontario tournament.

This week’s games in the Cricket Council of Ontario Under-16 Championship are being played at Ross Lord Park, Toronto, as originally scheduled. But the last of the round-robin games and the playoff games, including Wednesday’s Final, are to be played at Centennial Park, Etobicoke.
