Toronto v Victoria Park

Toronto CC went in to their eighth game for the season without three of the stalwarts in skipper Shaheed Keshvani, wicket-keeper opening batsman, Srimantha Wijeyeratne & opening bowler, Cecil Pervez, all doing national duty for “Team Canada” in Scotland.
However, not looking depleted at all with sound replacements coming in, Toronto CS & CC registered an easy 6 wickets win over Victoria Park C.C. in their Elite game concluded at King City on Saturday. (4-July)

Batting first, Victoria Park Boys managed only 135 runs, all out and Toronto C.C. chased the winning target of 136 with the loss of four wickets to register their third win for the season. Only Trevon Garraway (30) and Kunal Patel (25) had scores over twenty with skipper Yug Rao chipping in with 18. For Toronto, off spinner Jay Trivedi bowled well claiming 3 for 17, with Hassan and Pathirana 2 scalps each.
Batting for Toronto was dominated by Dhanuka Pathirana, top scoring with an unbeaten 44 which included a towering six and 4 fours, scored in 44 balls. Parth Desai had 2 for 19 out of the four wickets lost going for the win.
