The third instalment of Cricket Alberta’s T20 Super Bash will take place in Edmonton at picturesque Millwoods Cricket Ground, August 1st – 3rd.  The annual competition pits franchise style teams made up local representative players, a handful of Canadian national team members, and a few select overseas players.

In past years national team members Henry Osinde, Rizwan Cheema, Hiral Patel, Hamza Tariq and Ruvindu Gunasekera have all taken part, with overseas players including Netherlands allrounder Mudassar Bukhari.

This year’s competition will see an expansion to six teams: Calgary Fire, Calgary Thunder, Calgary Renegades, and Edmonton Bashers, along with debutant franchises from Vancouver and Saskatchewan.  Confirmed players include: Hamza Tariq, Sudeepta Aurka, Nikhil Dutta, Junaid Siddiqui, Srimantha Wijeratne, Tahir Mughal, Indika Senaratne, Dhanuka Pathirana, Bipul Sharma, Manpreet Gony, Farhan Malik and Khurram Chohan.
