Ryerson played Everest University in the final of the American College championships in Florida. They set a target of 130, after making 129/7 batting first. Sharoze Shah made 63, opening the innings. Everest were contained by tight bowling, and when they tried to accelerate, Maaz Pasha finished them off with a devastating spell, taking 5 wickets in 17 balls.

Earlier Ryerson won their third and fourth matches advancing to the semi-finals unbeaten. They scored an impressive 227/8 from their twenty overs and restricted the Florida Tech Panthers to 165 for 7. Yug Rao made 59 (27) and Maaz Pasha 50 (22) for Ryerson and the bowlers were led by Gayan Ferdinands with 5 wickets including a hat-trick.

They played Harvard in the quarter finals, and an excellent bowling performance restricted the opposition to 74/8, a total which Ryerson passed with ease, needing only 14.4 overs. The bowling was led by spinners Hasaan Mirza (2/13) and Saad Zafar (2/15).

Guyana & West Indies Test great, Shivnarine Chanderpaul will be at the Championships to present the Chanderpaul Trophy to the winning team.
Update: It appears that Ryerson played the University of South Florida in the semi final. They made just 106 in their innings, their lowest total of the tournament, but won a thrilling match by just 5 runs, Zafar and Mizra taking three wickets each – Scorecard
