Canadian national player Hamza Tariq has been with the Trinbago Night Riders as they compete in the Caribbean Premier League. His opportunities have been limited- understandable in a team featuring McCallum, Narine, Bravo and Ramdin. He was brought into the team to bat number 3 in the semi-final and contributed just 10, but retained his place for the final against St. Kitts. He came in at 4, after Narine and Bravo had fallen with just 12 on the board, and contributed a sensible 18. He was fifth out with the score on 67, and his efforts went a long way towards assisting his team overtake St. Kitt’s total of 135 with an over to spare. He now returns to Canada to play his part in the Auty Cup matches next week.
