York Region Outdoor Cricket Season Opens

The York Region Athletic Association (YRAA) outdoor boys cricket season opens on Tuesday (September 26, 2017) when the four east group schools play two games at McCowan Reservoir, Markham. Ontario. The four schools in the west group are scheduled to play on Thursday (September 28) at Maple Leaf Cricket Club, King City. The YRAA championships play 15 overs per side with a minimum of 10 overs per innings unless a team is bowled out in less than ten overs or reaches the winning target within 10 overs.

Tuesday’s opening games for the East Group are Bill Crothers SS v Father McGivney and Bill Hogarth SS v Middlefield CI. Games follow for these eastern schools at McCowan Reservoir on Tuesdays October 3 and October 10.

The western schools opening games this coming Thursday should see Maple High School v Richmond Hill High School and Huron Heights SS v Woodbridge College. Two further rounds of Western group schools are scheduled for Thursdays October 5 and October 12.
