The top two from the North Division of the ROPSSAA (Peel Region) Varsity Girls indoor cricket championship each beat South Division opposition in Wednesday’s (May 9, 2018) semi-finals. Sandalwood Heights (1st in North, Won 6, Lost 0) beat North Park (2nd South, W 5, L 1) while Humberview (2nd North, W 3, L 3) beat Heart Lake (1st in South, W 5, L1). North Park scored 33, Sandalwood Heights 34. Humberview made 55 and Heart Lake 53.
The last of the Senior Boys Preliminary Round playoffs was also played on Wednesday. Glenforest scored 48/1 to beat Rick Hansen (47 runs) by 5 wickets.
