It appears from Facebook postings that Alberta won the Western T20 competition, beating BC in the final, bowling them out for 108 chasing a target of 131.
The player awards all went to Alberta as well, with Sukhdeep Brar named MVP, Yasoob Ul Haq best bat and
Sukhdeep Brar best bowler.
The semi-finals of the Central T20 were both between Ontario teams, and the tournament was won by Ontario Thunder. Most matches were played over 10 or 15 overs due to weather issues. Although they didn’t make the semi-finals, the performance of guests Nova Scotia was notable- they lost all three matches to Ontario teams but by narrow margins, indicating that cricket development in Atlantic Canada is progressing well.
