Canada batted first and made 206/ 9, with a number of bats contributing, without any making a major score. Dhaliwal made 35, Adhihetty 29, Jacobs 32 and Wijeyeratne 35. Don Romesh Eranga was the star with the ball, taking 6/21 as Canada successfully defended this modest total. He took two wickets in the first over, then came back to dismiss Athanze (42), who along with Cato (50) had put on 86.
