The Access and Diversity Unit in partnership with Cricket Canada and the ICC (International Cricket Council) will recognize the members of the Canadian National Cricket Team and those who have contributed to the development of the sport of cricket.
Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation acknowledges that the game of cricket is fast becoming popular with young people from culturally diverse communities. Members of the Canadian National Cricket Team who have played in the 2011 Cricket World Cup have inspired many young people to be active, be part of a team and enjoy the game of cricket. The Canadian National Cricket Team will be recognized for their great contribution to the sport of cricket.
The City of Toronto is proud of its leadership in being the first city in Canada to make cricket an integral part of its delivery of Recreation.
