Quebec won the Atlantic 20-20 competition in Halifax, defeating the hosts Nova Scotia in a battle of the unbeaten squads on Sunday. Newfoundland (110-4) shocked New Brunswick (107-7) to claim third place.
Earlier, Newfoundland and Labrador had picked up their first win in interprovincial competition in decades, perhaps ever, defeating PEI by 10 runs. They went winless in last year’s tournament. On Saturday New Brunswick opened with a win over PEI but then lost to Nova Scotia, Quebec opened with a big win over NL, and followed up with another win over PEI.
