Pakistani cricket player calls Port Hope home (Northumberland News)

To Rafay Ahmed, cricket is the best game to play in world. But the 17-year-old Trinity College School (TCS) student from Pakistan said the global sport could be confusing to those who don’t know the rules.
“(Cricket) is the most alien sport to those who don’t know how to play it,” said Ahmed, who first picked up a cricket bat and ball at the age of four. “My older brothers both played (cricket), so as soon as I was strong enough to hold a bat in my hand, they started teaching me how to play.” And the teachings of his older brothers have paid off. Ahmed captained the Trinity College School Bigside Bears cricket team to a first-place finish in the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA).
