Main batting contributions for BC President’s XI came from Jimmy Hansra (31). Dilpreet Dhillon made a battling 57, then, when defeat seemed on the cards, Manny Aulakah (25) and V Grewal (15) had a gallant stand, but the MCC pulled through to win.

For the MCC opening batsmen Webbley made 35 and Sharma 20. Gallian anchored the innings with 50 not out and Lamiman scored 25 not out batting at number nine. MCC had won the toss and elected to bat.

Bowling for BC President’s XI saw some useful performances from captain Jimmy Hansra with 2 wickets for 33 in ten overs and Manny Aulakh 2 wickets for 29 in nine overs. Rashid Masood took two wickets for 30 in ten overs.

MCC plays British Columbia on Sunday at Beacon Hill Park, Victoria on Vancouver Island.
