The MCC’s tour of Canada began with an open-invite coaching session for local junior cricketers on Friday (July 13th).  After various work-outs and drills the session ended with some Kanga cricket on the Upper Brockton cricket oval in bright sun, but with a beautiful backdrop of the mountains, some snowy caps.
They then took on a BC all star squad in 20-20 competition.
MCC won the toss and elected to bat at Upper Brockton making 159 for six wickets in 20 overs.  M. Wright top scored with 75. Balqiaz Khan scored 98, being stumped with scores level as the BCMCL Stars won by seven wicket. BCMCL made 160 for three wickets in 17.3 overs.
A 50-over game between the President’s XI and the MCC is scheduled for Saturday at Upper Brockton with a 10 am start time.
