Last chance morning to support Valley Park floodlights project in Aviva Fund Voting

Monday morning (November 26) is the last chance to vote and support the Valley Park Middle School’s bid for funding from the Aviva Community Fund for the school and local community project to provide outdoor sports lighting at the Go Green cricket field and outdoor sports facilities. The Valley Park Project was placed 10th in the unofficial voting around midnight EST to close Sunday’s voting. Voting concludes at midday Eastern time on Monday, according to the competition website.
The Valley Park Outdoor Floodlight project is one of 203 large projects competing to win full funding (between $100,000 and $150,000) from the Aviva Community Fund. There are a further 311 projects in the hunt for funding for Medium and Small projects from the Aviva Fund.
The easiest way to vote is though the Valley Park Go Green Cricket Field website at www.gogreencricketfield.ca, where there is a link to the Aviva Community Fund’s voting system. If the Valley Park scheme qualifies for the semi-final stage, I believe there is then a further round of community wide voting across Canada.
If the Valley Park floodlighting project gains enough votes and the support of the judges, it would qualify for the semi-finals of the Aviva Insurance’s $1 million Community Fund contest. That would help keep the project in the running for full funding from the 2012 Aviva Community Fund scheme.
