“Green, who wrote extensively on fixed income markets while at the Post, is in the semi-finals of the contest which means that her project, installing lights on a multi-sport cricket field in a disadvantaged but very multi-cultural part of Toronto, will be a step closer to being completed. Make it through the semi-finals and into the finals and Green has a chance to get some more funding for her project, known as Valley Park Go Green Cricket Field Project. That project has already raised more than $1-million over the past two and a half years. Donations have provided the bulk of the amount raised.”
