High school cricket tourney comes to Markham

So why not cricket, reasoned Ranil Mendis.

With cricket played in high schools but with far less fanfare, Mendis feels the time is right to further heighten the sport’s profile.

Citing cricket played in Toronto area high schools has been growing in popularity due largely to shifting demographics, Mendis will introduce a series of regional high school cricket tournaments.
