Last week of round-robin games for Peel Senior Schools Boys

The last week of the Peel Senior Schools boys indoor cricket round-robin games are scheduled this week with two qualifying places available in each of the North and South Divisions for the playoff semi-finals on May 8.
The South Division leaders Stephen Lewis (W 6 ,L 0) visit second placed Our Lady of Mount Carmel (W5, L1) on Tuesday (April 30) in a key game that might give some of the chasing teams hope. A hope that likely depends on a Stephen Lewis win, although both two leading sides close with matches against lower-placed teams. Stephen Lewis end  the regular season with a game against Clarkson (W 2 L4). Our Lady of Carmel conclude against Glenforest (W 1, L 4).
Louise Arbour joined North Park at the top of the North Division after a high-scoring win over North Park last week . Both schools have won four games and lost once. North Park scored 70 for two wickets in eight overs, but Louise Arbour responded with a resounding 72 for one wicket from 5.3 overs. Harold M. Brathwaite and Sandalwood each has three wins and two defeats.
So any faltering by the leaders could provide a chance for these schools to make the playoffs. North Park close with games against Turner Fenton (W 2, L 3) and Heart Lake (W 2, L 3). Sandalwood has the chance in a head-to-head meeting on Monday against Louise Arbour to boost the school’s prospect of qualifying. But it might take somthing out of the ordinary if Louise Arbour fail to qualify. Cellar occupiers St Margueritte d’Youville ( W 0, L 5) would need both faith and application in order to register a win in Louis Arbour’s last game of the regular season. It would certainly be a surprise as St Margueritte D’Youville would have to rebound from a hefty loss last week to Sandalwood. Sandalwood hit a winning 10 for no wicket from three balls in response to 10 all out (six wickets in this indoor cricket) from 7.2 overs. But hope springs eternal.
As previously mentioned, the semi-finals are slated for May 8 and the Final on May 10. (EN)
