Toronto police cricket matches on Sunday raise funds for hospital

Toronto police are putting their cricket bats together, with the community, to raise money for The Scarborough Hospital Birchmount site on Sunday, Aug. 11. The police’s cricket club has collaborated with the Toronto Premier League (TPL) to stage limited overs cricket matches and a barbecue at the Toronto Police Cricket Ground at McNicoll Avenue and Middlefield Road in Scarborough. “We want to make this an annual event to connect with the local community and raise funds for the hospital while playing cricket,” said Const. Mansoor Ahmed, of 33 Division, a member of the cricket team.
