Toronto and District CA Senior Division Playoffs this weekend

The Toronto and District Cricket Association’s senior division playoffs bounce into action this weekend, spearheaded by the Elite Division playoffs. The teams with the best four overall records qualify for the playoffs in the Elite Division, while the top three in each of the two conferences qualify in the other divisions.
Brampton Master Tranzac had the best overall record in the Elite Division thanks to eleven wins and one loss from a sixteen game schedule. Masters topped the standings in Conference 1.
Centurions and Vikings each ended on 61 points thanks to eight wins and four defeats. I must admit to not knowing the tie-breaker to decide which of these two teams is deemed to have placed second and will play Brampton Masters on Saturday (September 21). But one of Elite Conference 2 winners Centurions and second-placed Vikings of Conference 1 will meet Masters, and the other will face fourth-placed Toronto CC. Toronto ended the season with nine wins and five losses to take fourth place overall and second place in Conference 2.
The winning team in Saturday’s Brampton Masters game advances to the final, while the losing team plays the winner of the game between the third placed team and Toronto CC on Sunday (September 22).
The Elite Division final is scheduled for Saturday September 28, 2013 with the Sunday (Sept 29) as the Reserve Day.
In the other divisions, the second placed team in each conference is due to play the third-placed team from the other conference on Saturday (Sept 21). The winning teams from Saturday then meet one of the first placed teams in each Conference on Sunday (Sept 22). The conference final then follows on Saturday September 28, 2013 with Sunday September 29 as the Reserve day.
In the Premier Division, the line-up for Saturday would seem to be Headstart Easterns (2nd Pompey Conference) v Toronto Salmiya (3rd Ward Conference), and Toronto CC v Brampton Masters. On Sunday, Victoria Park (1st Pompey Conference) are due to meet the winners of Saturday’s Headstart Easterns v Toronto Salmiya game. Civics (1st Ward Conference) would face the winners of the Toronto CC v Brampton Masters game on Sunday.
Similar playoff arrangements to those in the Premier Division exist for the lower divisions.
