Canada U19s took on New Zealand in their first warm-up match at Sharjah. They were bowled out for 119, but batted 45 overs. Nikhil Dutta top-scored with 40. The New Zealanders also struggled with the bat, losing five wickets for 66, Dutta and Farhan Malik taking two wickets each but eventually reached the target with 5 wickets and 15 overs to spare.
