“Cricket is a foreign sport in Canada and getting involved in the game here is not for the faint of heart as I have recently discovered. I am as Canadian as they come – my dad is from Sweden my mother is from England – they met in Montreal. I grew up playing hockey, soccer and baseball just like every other kid I knew. Cricket wasn’t even on the map!

Nearly 2 years ago I watched my first IPL game with my co-workers on a computer in our warehouse. I was hooked. We soon took up a bat and tennis ball in the parking lot during our lunch breaks. I was determined to get my son involved. Easier said than done. ”
