Lincoln M. Alexander Senior School Boys takes Mississauga High Schools Crown

The boys team of Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School (SS) won the Mississauga CIBC Trophy and qualified for the CIMA Canada organized Greater Toronto Area Boys Mayor’s School Cricket Tournament High Schools finals on May 31 in Brampton. Lincoln Alexander SS beat last year’s Mississauga CIBC Trophy winners Stephen Lewis SS by seven wickets in last Tuesday’s (May 20, 2014) City of Mississauga Final. Lincoln Alexander overtook Stephen Lewis’s 44/3 (8 overs) with 45/3 from 6.1 overs.

Lincoln Alexander SS reached the Mississauga final after beating St Francis Xavier SS by ten runs in the playoff between the two group winning schools from qualifying groups played at the Dixie-Sandalwood Park grounds, Brampton. Stephen Lewis SS beat Applewood Heights SS y 20 runs in the game between the group winners of games played at Batsman Park, Brampton.
