OCA announces High Performance Training Camp at ICC Global Cricket Academy in Dubai

OCA media release
In keeping with our commitment for the development of Elite Level Cricket in Ontario, Ontario Cricket Association (OCA) has made arrangements at the ICC Global Cricket Academy, for a week long rigorous training of our up and coming star players, starting November 20, 2010.
Our players will have the opportunity to train with and under the watchful eyes of some of the best coaches in the world, including Mr. Rod Marsh, the Director and Mr. Mudassar Nazar, the head coach of the Academy. If you will recall, both of these coaches were here, in May this year to conduct a high performance camp in Toronto.
We also have the opportunity to send some of our Ontario Coaches to train in a coaching program offered by the Academy. Although not confirmed, but we may also want to send some of our top umpires for training as well.
As we have done in the past, OCA will extend the offer to our fellow provinces, in case they have some deserving players, who might want to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

A selection camp will be held where top 30 players will be invited and in independent body of selectors will make selections based on stats and performance. Date of the selection camp will be announced shortly.
OCA is fully committed for raising the bar of the level of performance of our players and will do everything possible to create such opportunities for them.
OCA wishes to thank Mr. Mudassar Nazar, Mr. Rod Marsh and the staff at the ICC Global Cricket Academy in Dubai for doing a lot, to make this dream camp, a reality.
We must do our part as administrators, only then we can hold players accountable for their performance.
