Turf pitches in Niagara

turfConstruction of natural turf pitches is well under way at the Niagara Cricket Centre. The Centre is located in the township of Thorold, near Niagara Falls, and the cricket filed has been in use since 2012. The Niagara Cricket club were given access to the land on generous terms by its owner, cricket fan Navid Qureshi, and have built a top-class field. The next stage is creation of a natural turf square that will have six natural turf pitches to go along with the existing artificial wicket. construction began on January of this year with levelling and installation of the right soil mix, and hydroseeding took place earlier this month.
