A playoff preview of Calgary’s T20 show piece competition. Thanks to Vee Gondara for posting in the Calgary & District Cricket League Facebook group.

It’s time once again for Calgary cricket’s showpiece occasion, where fans from across the city descend to watch a day of fun, drama and big hits.
United, Crown CC, St. John’s & Kings will battle it out for the crown this season.

Final has been won by United for the past 3 years so who will prevail in 2015?
Favorites United are the team to beat as they seek to defend the title won in West Winds 12 months ago under the new captain Saleem Rizwan with the support of one of the best cricketing brain in Alberta Manzoor Chaudhary backed up by talented youngsters.

Semi Final One – Crown v Kings
Rejuvenated Crown under the leadership of Baqir and inclusion of Tahir Mughal will take on the Unpredictable Kings. Both teams with some hard hitters will try to take on the early advantage if possible as both bat deep down the order.
Key Man for Crown will be their seasoned Veteran All rounder Tahir Mughal. Kings will rely on their middle order more or less but will need their erratic fielding to come good in order to see them through to the final.

Semi Final Two – United v St. John’s
United is the standout T20 side at finals day without a doubt. United have clinched the trophy thrice and will be looking for another victory.
Key Man will be their experienced player Manzoor Chaudhary who is known to pull his weight for big games under pressure.
St. John’s with their strong batting line up with Sudeepta Aurka on top has to lead from the front. But they will need their bowling unit, to fire in order to see them through to the final.
Best of Luck to all the teams and may the Best team take the Title.
