2015 YRAA Outdoor Playoffs

The York Region Athletic Association’s (YRAA’s) 2015 varsity boys outdoor cricket playoffs are due to take place during the coming week. The two semi-finals are scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2015 with the final set to follow on Friday, October 30, 2015. Middlefield (won 4, lost 0) and Bur Oak SS (W 3, L 1) topped the round-robin standings in Zone A. Maple HS (W 4, L 0) and Pierre Elliott Trudeau (W 3, L 1) headed the standings in Zone B.

Presumably Zone A topping Middlefield plays Pierre Elliott Trudeau in one semi-final with Maple taking on Bur Oak in the other semi-final. The first semi-final is due to start at 12pm (noon) on Tuesday at McCowan Reservoir, Markham. The second semi-final is scheduled to begin at 2.30pm. The winning schools advance to Friday’s final which has a planned 2pm start.

Temperatures around Markham and Unionville are projected to peak around 9 or 10C on Tuesday. Next Friday’s temperatures are reckoned to crest around 8C. Precipitation is not in the weather forecast for either day, but it may rain on Wednesday and, possibly, Thursday.
