
Nikhil Dutta finally got to play his first match in the Bangladesh Premier League, and made a huge contribution towards a 2 wicket win for the Barisal Bulls over the Dhaka Dynamites. Dhaka batted first, and Dutta took 3/18 from his four overs, dismissing Pakistan test opener Mohammad Hafeez, Bangladesh international Nasir Hossain, and Zimbabwe’s Malcolm Waller- with a combined international experience of 73 tests and 280 one-day internationals. Dhaka seemed well on course for victory when Dutta, batting at number 10 came in with 8 wickets down, and 43 runs needed from 23 balls. Dutta contributed 9 runs to an unbroken winning partnership with West Indian Rayad Emrit.
