Canada are still winless at the U19 World Cu after losing to Zimbabwe by 6 wickets in the first round of the Plate competition. Canada batted first, and made 186/8 from their fifty overs. four middle order batsmen passed twenty but the top score was 37 from Taploo. Zimbabwe had no trouble against the Canadian bowlers, losing thier first wicket on 89 in the 11th over. Canada took three more wickets but Zimbabwe reached the target with more than 18 overs to spare.

Fiji U19 v Scotland U19 follows on Monday Feb 8 at the same venue. Winning teams play off for 13th and 14th places; losing teams meet in match to decide 15th & 16th places.
