A Regina police officer really bowled over members of the cricket community on the weekend when he hopped off his bike and joined in an impromptu game. It happened at Central Park south of the downtown, where a group of friends regularly gathers for cricket games. Const. Mitch Wiebe was on bike patrol, but when he got an invitation from the players, he grabbed the bat for a few minutes.
“It was really good experience to bowl an officer,” Dipen Shah said on Facebook. “He was not bad at cricket.”
