North Park won the ROPSSAA (Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association) Junior Boys indoor cricket final on Wednesday (May 11, 2016) according to a facebook post by North Park captain Gurkaran Dharmi. A photo showed the score as North Park 63/4, Castlebrook 39/0. One of the Castlebrook players thinks, on facebook, that next year will be Castlebrook’s year. By contrast, North Park hope to complete a hat-trick of championships next year.

The Final of the Girls Varsity competition has been changed to May 17, 2016 when Sandalwood (seeded #1) will play Mentor College (seeded #2). Mentor College (54) beat David Suzuki (42) by 12 runs in this week’s second semi-final.

The quarter-finals of the Senior Boys competition saw wins for Sandalwood (58) against John Fraser (57), Rick Hansen (55) against Louise Arbour (54), Lincoln M. Alexander (30) against T’L’ Kennedy (28) and North Park (71) against Port Credit (53).

The semi-finals on May 16th will be Sandalwood v Rick Hansen and Lincoln M. Alexander v North Park. The final is due to be played on May 18th. (EN)
