50 up! Mississauga Ramblers CC recognized at city’s annual sports dinner

The City of Mississauga’s Sports Council honoured Mississauga Ramblers in celebration of its 50th Anniversary last week at the 42nd Annual Mississauga Sports Dinner.

John Sugrim was recognized with the Outstanding Contribution to Community Sports Award and Dr. Geoff Edwards was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame as a sport builder. Sandeep Jyoti was a guest of honour at the head table.

Roy Supaul, President of Mississauga Ramblers, accepted the 50th anniversary award. In his remarks, Roy stated: “I am humbly accepting this 50th anniversary award on behalf of all past and present members and executives who have worked tirelessly to sustain Mississauga Ramblers Cricket, Sports and Cultural Club. I sincerely hope we can continue for another 50 years and beyond.”
