Cricket Canada has announced on its web site that it has secured release from an agreement that limited its ability to develop a national T20 competition. They state that following this release that
“Cricket Canada in the very near future will issue a general public notice seeking proposals for a T20 Premiere League to help grow a strong Canadian cricket environment”
