“To that end, Cricket Canada required the tournament’s organisers to set aside four roster spots in each team for Canadians, including an under-23 player.
That led to 18-year-old Canadian fast bowler Faisal Jamkhandi – who grew up idolising Brett Lee and modelling his bowling action on the legendary Australian – receiving a call-up four days ago to join the Winnipeg Hawks alongside Warner.
Likewise, 23-year-old Armaan Kapoor was drafted to the Toronto Nationals with his hero Steve Smith and West Indies stars Darren Sammy and Kieron Pollard.

“It’s basically like a fan boy moment. You walk into a team meeting and have the world’s best Test batsman beside you,” he said. “I’m just trying to absorb everything and listen to everything they say.”
