CCO U16 at Centennial Park

The last of the round-robin games in the Cricket Council of Ontario (CCO) Under-16 championship take place at Etobicoke’s Centennial Park today (Monday, July 9, 2015). South enter today with 2 wins from 2 games, East has one recorded win and the current standings depend upon the result of Friday’s game at Ross Lord Park between East and North. Today’s schedule sees South play East and North play West. The top team at the end of today’s games will play the fourth placed team in on of Tuesday’s playoff matches. The other playoff on Tuesday will be contested by the second-placed and third-placed teams in the standings after Monday’s play.

Tuesday’s winners will meet in the CCO Under-16 Championship Final on Wednesday (July 8) at Centennial Park. The losing teams on Tuesday will meet on Wednesday to contest the playoff to decide third-place. The two cricket grounds at Centennial Park are on the Eglinton Avenue side of the park near the soccer centre. Games are being played as 40-overs per team with a scheduled start of 1pm each day.
