The inaugural season of the Newfoundland and Labrador Cricket Association’s Summer 20-20 League comes to a conclusion this Sunday (September 11) with the championship final. The St. John’s SuperKings topped the regular season league winning six of their eight games, and the Thunderbolts secured a place in the final with a win in the last round of matches to take their record to 4 wins and four losses. An exciting match is in prospect, and the teams feature many of the players that were part of the team that secured third place in the Eastern Canadian championships in June. The game is set to start at 12 pm at Cricket NL’s new ground located at the former Provincial Recreation Centre on RCAF Road (accessed from Torbay Road). All are welcome, and there is no admission charge.
