North Park captures Peel Senior Indoor Boys Championship

North Park hit 62 runs for the loss of three wickets from eight overs in the Final of the Region of Peel Secondary Schools Senior Indoor Boys Championship last Friday (May 10) and went on to beat Louise Arbour by ten runs. Louise Arbour was bowled out for 52 after 7.1 overs in the Final played at Sandalwood. The loss of six wickets is “all out” in this form of indoor cricket. So congratulations to North Park and to all the competing sides, several of whom will be seen outdoors in the next week or two as the CIMA Mayor’s School Cricket Tournament ventures into Brampton and Mississauga with the CIBC Trophy up for grabs in each of those cities.
A playoff between North Park and the Toronto and District indoor high school champion is indicated on the schedule for this coming Thursday, May 16.
